It was not my intention, to convince or give any formal statements, not even to give new grounds with regard to Luis Barragan's work. The aim of this research is to provide some data, up to now hidden in his silence, and illuminate new interpretations for a better understanding of the origin and meaning of the fantasies projected in his works, increasing, even the number of questions. We will analyse Barragan's work from an unusual turning point, having lost the colourful aura, manners and merely visual, to advance a more scientific and less innocent aspect of his work, perhaps in black and white. His life is linked to his work on a physical, historical, mental, vital and initiatory journey that combines both a lively and interesting tour. The bulk of the book is concerned with the influence of his work in the Modern Movement, and, its two great architects: Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe – concentrating two of their master works, to reach the whole universe of the great Mexican architect, considered silent but eloquently large. A thousand contradictions.
